A New Patio Door Changes How Tri-Valley Homeowners Live, Entertain, and Enjoy Their Home

Better light. Better airflow. Better insulation. Custom Exteriors installs Infinity from Marvin patio doors in sliding, French, folding, and multi-slide configurations, with AAMA Certified Master Installers doing the work

Most Tri-Valley homeowners don't replace a patio door because the old one looks bad. They replace it because it stopped working, drafts in winter, sticking tracks in summer, seals that failed years ago. The right door fixes all of it and holds up for decades.

  • Lower energy bills, year-round | A door that's lost its seal is a year-round draft. Our fiberglass patio doors hold their seal through 100°F summers and cold, wet winters in ways a warped or swollen wood door can't.
  • Less upkeep, not more | Fiberglass doesn't warp, crack, or rot the way wood does, and it won't dent like steel. No annual repainting, no re-caulking every other year.
  • Resale value before you list | Patio doors are a high-impact exterior upgrade that can make your home feel brighter, more open, and better connected to outdoor living space, details buyers notice right away.

Door configurations

Every patio door style, installed correctly

We install all Infinity from Marvin patio door configurations. The right choice depends on your opening size, traffic pattern, and how you use the space. Our showroom has working displays, see and operate each type before you decide.

Sliding patio doors

The most common configuration in Tri-Valley homes. One panel glides along a precision track — no swing clearance required, smooth operation, and excellent glass-to-frame ratio for views and light.

French / hinged patio doors

Two panels hinged on opposing jambs and meeting at the center. The classic configuration for patios and garden access — full opening width, traditional aesthetic, available in inswing and outswing.

Folding / bi-fold patio doors

Multiple panels fold and stack against one or both jambs, opening nearly the full width of the wall. Ideal for indoor-outdoor living spaces where you want to eliminate the boundary between inside and outside.

Multi-slide patio doors

Three or more panels slide on parallel tracks, stacking at the jamb. Covers wide openings that a standard two-panel slider can't span — used in great rooms, dining rooms, and master suite additions throughout the East Bay.

You cannot judge a door from a photo.

A sliding door's operation, a french door's details, a bi-fold panel's weight, the feel of the hardware, none of that comes through on a screen. Our Pleasanton showroom has full-size Infinity from Marvin patio door displays you can operate in person.

🔨
30K+Projects Completed

Over 30,000 completed projects in Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, Walnut Creek, and surrounding communities. That's not a national average, it's work done by the same team that will be on your project.

Local Showroom in Pleasanton

🗺️
29 Years in the same location

We've been at 2142 Rheem Drive in Pleasanton since 1997, serving the same communities under the same name. If something goes wrong with your installation in year three, we're still here to make it right.

Material performance

Why Infinity from Marvin uses fiberglass and why it matters

Fiberglass expands and contracts at nearly the same rate as the glass it holds. That physical compatibility is what keeps seals intact over decades of Tri-Valley temperature swings. Aluminum and vinyl don't share that property, which is why older sliding doors fog, stick, and leak air long before they should.

Infinity from Marvin carries the engineering depth of a 120-year-old manufacturer. Custom Exteriors is an Infinity Platinum Partner, the highest certification tier, which means our team installs to the same standards the manufacturer requires to honor the warranty.

Performance factor Infinity fiberglass Vinyl / aluminum
Seal integrity over time Holds seal through wide temp swings Expands/contracts differently than glass — seal degrades faster
Structural strength Higher strength-to-weight ratio — slimmer frames, more glass Requires thicker profiles for rigidity
Energy performance Title 24 compliant glass packages available Varies; older vinyl rarely meets Title 24
Maintenance Factory finish — no repainting, resists fading Vinyl chalks and fades; aluminum oxidizes
Lifespan 30+ years with proper installation 15–20 years typical before seal or track failure

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Loved working with Custom Exteriors. Very responsive to inquiries. Precise in their measurements, estimate and timeframe for completion. Highly recommend them."

Brian I.

"We have used Custom Exteriors on many occasions over the years.  We are in Lafayette and love that they service this area.  We think the work is fantastic, both for windows and doors.  We had Anlin sliding doors (2) and a back door installed in May 2021.  We had a question about how the doors were locking and the next day the owner himself (Jeff) made a personal appearance and solved all our issues in about 10 minutes! Talk about customer service!  We look forward to using Custom Exteriors for many years into the future."

Dave A.

"We had Custom Exteriors install a sliding glass door in our bedroom. Everyone from sales to the installers were professional, kind, punctual, respectful. We love the quality of the door. The team that installed to care to clean up afterwards. They also went above and beyond to try and match our wood trim. I highly recommend this company."
